On April 21, 2006, Riddle had a litter of 8 pups–6 girls and 2 boys. At seven weeks of age, all the pups were keen on sheep, and all are doing well now. Tikkle–is here with me, and at 9 months is working sheep and cattle very nicely. She has competed in some AHBA trials (on sheep), and has placed 1st on one occasion and 2nd on another, both in classes of about 20 dogs. Piper–after being puppy raised elsewhere, Piper came home after Thanksgiving of 2006 for training. Like Tikkle, she is also working sheep and cattle very nicely, and has competed in an AHBA trial (on sheep). She took a 2nd in her class, and won the High Combined in Trial for the day, with the scores for two different courses being added together. Scout–Scoutie is owned by Marcy Roberts of Alpine, CA. Scoutie has a nice start on sheep, and spent a month training with Bill Berhow up in northern CA. Alli–Alli is owned by Butch Wilson of Pacific Grove, CA. Alli is being started on stock by Loren Holmes, and, at 9 months, is “doing everything she should be doing.” Karma–Karmie is living in eastern Colorado on a large cattle ranch. The last report I got from her owner was that she is a “cowdog sum bitch!” Dixie--Dixie is owned by Dennis and Cynthia Parker of Borrego Springs, CA. When I saw Dixie last, at about 7 months old, she was very keen to work and ready to start. Shay–Shay is living in Trindad, CA. I have not had an update recently. |
