SabreSabre is my 12 year old Mr. Reliable guy. He is a grandson of Dodie Green’s Soot, was a decent Open sheep trial dog, and a good cattle trial dog. He taught me a TON. He has always been great with the babies–either lambs or calves. Sabre and I spent many days working cow/calf pairs at a ranch in Pala, CA, and despite his age, when I have a tough job to do, I still bring him along. He is just as tough as ever, and even in 2006 did a full day of setout with some nasty range ewes at Coalinga, CA.
Trucker BTrucker B. Is an 8 year old male from Pat Shannihan’s breeding. Trucker served as the “lesson dog” for several years, before some recurring injuries forced him into retirement. |
